Michael G. Klinger , the head of Hallandale Beach-based commercial real estate developer Saber Real Estate, and his wife, Michelle Klinger , sold their Golden Beach mansion for $14.15 million.

The 7,200-square-foot home at 610 N. Island Drive was purchased by a trust in the name of Michael J. Rappaport . The deal included $5 million in seller financing.

This is a record price for a non-beachfront home in Golden Beach, as this property is along the Intracoastal Waterway, said Jon Man of the Jills Zeder Group at Coldwell Banker, who brokered the sale. The buyer was represented by Marc Hameroff of Engel & Völkers.

“This sale is significant because for the first time, we are seeing money from Miami Beach move up to Golden Beach, not just for ocean front residences or lots, but also for properties on the intracoastal,” Mann said.

The price equated to $1,965 per square foot.

It last traded for $1.95 million in 2010, although it was renovated by architect Cesar Molina and interior designer Fanny Haim in 2012. It was built on the 16,500-square-foot site in 1983.

The home features six bedrooms, 6.5 bathrooms, a gym, a pool, a dock, and a gazebo.

This continues a huge start to the year for the Jills Zeder Group. The Miami Beach-based brokerage team has already surpassed $1 billion in sales this year.
