Gables Estates mansion gains 78% value from last sale

A waterfront mansion in the Gables Estates section of Coral Gables sold for $21.75 million, gaining 78% in value only 13 months after its last sale.

The 13,816-square-foot home at 325 Leucadendra Drive was sold by 777 Florida Properties LLC, managed by businessman Steven Lempera , to the 325 Leucadendra Trust with Goldman Sachs Trust Co. as trustee. It’s not clear who owns the trust, which received a $13.2 million mortgage from New York-based Goldman Sachs Bank USA.

The price equated to $1,574 per square foot. It was an off-market deal.

The home last traded for $12.25 million in July 2020, when it was sold by the U.S. Marshals Service. Federal authorities previously seized the home from a company accused of drug trafficking.

The home features nine bedrooms, nine bathrooms, two half-bathrooms, a pool, a theater room, and a dock. It was built on the 1.31-acre lot in 2015.
