Theater producer sells Palm Beach mansion for $21.52M

Businessman Peter A. Halmos , founder of SafeCard Services; and his wife, Vicki Halmos , founder of theater production company Entr’acte Theatrix; sold their Palm Beach mansion for $21.52 million.

The 8,142-square-foot home at 315 Clarke Ave. was purchased by PB Island LLC, a Delaware-registered company with an address of 9 West 57th St., 25th Floor, New York, which is the same address and floor number of hedge fund Coatue Management. The off-market deal equated to $2,643 per square foot.

The Halmos family bought the home for $825,000 in 1985, so owning it for 36 years certainly paid off handsomely. It was their homestead property.

It was built on the landlocked site of 0.77-acres in 1928 and was designed by Volks & Maass. It’s located just south of The Breakers hotel.

The home features seven bedrooms, eight bathrooms, two half-bathrooms, a fireplace, and a pool.

There has been a surge in luxury home sales in Palm Beach over the past year, causing many longtime residents to cash out.
