In Big Sur, Calif., an eco-friendly, modern mansion in the shape of an airplane wing is coming to market for $35 million.
The property is the brainchild of the late architect Mickey Muennig, whose signature blend of indigenous wood, sculpted concrete and floor-to-ceiling windows has become synonymous with Big Sur’s organic architecture. Sitting on about 109 acres, the ridge-top property is located on a peninsula known as Cooper Point. The home, completed in 2004, was one of the final works by Mr. Muennig, who died in 2021, according to the home’s owner, venture capitalist Bob Pavey.
