Jeffree Star , the gender-bending beauty mogul and yak rancher, has unloaded his luxury resort-style estate in Hidden Hills for $16.7 million.
The sales price is 14.5% higher than the $14.58 million the CEO of Jeffree Star Cosmetics paid for the property in December 2019.
Completed in a French Normandy style in 2009, the seven-bedroom, 19,549-square-foot spread has 13 bathrooms, a basement “speakeasy” bar and a two-story gym. It sits on a nearly 3-acre lot at the end of a cul-de-sac in guard-gated Ashley Ridge.
Two guest houses, a 10-car garage and a barn, accessed by a separate driveway, add to the offerings.
Star gave the hilltop home a glamorous redo with rich wall coverings, chandeliers and ceiling treatments.
The grand foyer of the main house opens on an all-white imperial staircase with gold trim. Elsewhere a glass elevator offers an alternative way to access the upper floor, the location of the primary suite with two bathrooms and walk-in closets.
On the entry level are a formal living room, dining room and eat-in gourmet kitchen with two islands with seating. There’s a wine cellar, billiard room, home theater and spa-like amenities, including sauna and massage rooms.
The grounds contain a swimming pool with a spa, two cabana areas, a fire pit and two barbecue centers.
Aaron Kirman of Aaron Kirman Group at Compass held the listing . Yewmeng Lee of Global Homes Network represented the unidentified buyer.
Star initially listed the megamansion in June 2021 for $20 million . He dropped the ask twice, most recently to $15.5 million in April. He has since relocated to his Star Yak Ranch on more than 600 acres in Casper, Wyo., where he raises grass-fed yaks for breeding and food.
