Derek Jeter sells Tampa mansion for $22.5 million, record price for city

The $22.5 million price tag is a record for a home in Tampa, according to the Tampa Bay Business Journal . Jeter listed the mansion, dubbed “St. Jetersburg,” for $29 million in September 2020. Derek Jeter had a mansion built in Tampa in 2011, but sold it a decade later. (MLS.com / Realtor.com) It’s been a while since Jeter, part-owner of the Miami Marlins, actually lived on the 1.25-acre property. He rented it to Tom Brady after Brady signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last year.

Jeter bought the site for $6.3 million in 2005 and razed the buildings on the land to build his palace, the Tampa Bay Business Journal reported.

“St. Jetersburg,” which was completed in 2011, includes a private pool, seven bedrooms, eight full bathrooms, a home theater, a dock, six-car garage and a six-foot high surrounding wall to keep out rabid Jeter fans, among other things.
