Venture capital executive Blumberg buys Golden Beach mansion for $11M

David J. Blumberg , founder and managing partner of early-stage venture capital firm Blumberg Capital, purchased a mansion along the Intracoastal Waterway in Golden Beach for $11 million.

Christian G. Taratuta , the founder of IMS Internet Media Services, and his wife, Veronica Sarabia , sold the 6,608-square-foot home at 415 Center Island Drive. The price equated to $1,665 per square foot. It was an off-market deal.

The couple built the home on the 16,500-square-foot lot in 2015. It was their homestead property.

The home features five bedrooms, 6.5 bathrooms, a pool, and a dock.

Blumberg spoke to the Business Journal in December about his move from California to South Florida after he was frustrated with California’s “poor governance.”
