Palisades mansion renovated by former Washington football player hits the market

A Palisades home that received a recent makeover by a former NFL player is now on the market.

The sale price is set at $3.395 million for the property at 4805 Bending Lane NW. The four-bedroom, 4.5-bath home, spanning 3,800 square feet, features two roof decks and river views — and was renovated by Darryl Pounds , a former Washington Football Team player from 1995 to 1999 who is now a developer.

Pounds, who ended his football career with the Denver Broncos in 2000, returned to D.C. and started Pounds, a real estate firm that specializes in residential construction, leasing and acquisitions.

Robert Hryniewicki , Adam Rackliffe , and Christopher Leary of HRL Partners at Washington Fine Properties are the brokers listing the home.

Its arrival comes at a time when the luxury real estate market in Greater Washington is booming and a number of new and notable properties are hitting the high-end market. That’s especially true for homes that have been fully renovated and are ready to go, Hryniewicki has said, because homeowners aren’t eager to undertake major renovations.
