Eddie Vedder once rocked this $34 million California oceanfront mansion

After several years on and off the market, this nearly 13,000-square-foot San Clemente mansion has sold for $33.9 million.

A San Clemente estate where Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder performed solo during an ocean benefit concert in 2008 has sold after years on and off the market.

The purchase price was $33.9 million, down 11% from the $38 million ask — and yet, it’s currently the city’s most expensive home sale of the last five years, a search of Multiple Listing Service data shows.

When Vedder performed at the Mediterranean-style spread two doors down from President Richard Nixon’s former “La Casa Pacifica” (a.k.a. Western White House), it belonged — as it did until recently — to Martin Colombatto, a former executive of Broadcom Corp. The estate has a mansion and a guesthouse with seven bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, and nearly 13,000 square feet of space.

The common areas of the main two-story house favor open-plan living.

An interior balcony overlooks the great room, with its soaring wood-beamed ceiling, stone walls, and bronze-framed windows and doors. Venetian plaster, walnut millwork and limestone floors contribute to the Mediterranean vibe.

A large primary suite includes a sitting room, a spa-inspired bathroom and a private terrace.

The residence backs onto a 55-foot swimming pool with 450 feet of beach frontage overlooking the north end of the Trestles surf break.

A sports court, terraces, an interior courtyard, broad lawns and mature gardens, and a nine-car garage complete this nearly 3-acre compound in guard-gated Cotton Point Estates.

Fredrik Eklund of Eklund/Gomes at Douglas Elliman and “Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles” fame shared the listing with his Orange County-based colleagues Ariana Gaffoglio and Seth Nelson. Rob Giem of Compass, who also holds the $65 million Western White House listing, represented the buyer.

The Kelly Slater Foundation benefit concert held at this private home in 2008 also featured a guest appearance by singer Ben Harper.

Slater emceed the event that drew a crowd of 700, including actors Laura Dern (Harper’s then-wife) and Sean Penn.
