Couple who pleaded guilty in college admissions scandal selling Atherton mansion for $15 million

Manuel and Elizabeth Henriquez are selling their Atherton mansion for $15.495 million, reports Realtor.com.

The couple pleaded guilty in 2019 to working with an unscrupulous consultant who created schemes to cheat their kids into top colleges. Manuel, a former financier, spent six months in prison; Elizabeth spent seven months for money-laundering conspiracy and fraud conspiracy charges. The 7,865-square-foot home has six bedrooms and eight bathrooms. It features a grand chef’s kitchen, a formal dining room, and a master suite with a spa-like bath. The home also includes a wine cellar, gym and bar. Outside lush, ample grounds house a pool, hot tub and pavilion.

The couple purchased the home in 2005 for $7.4 million, according to public records. In all 39 parents, including actresses Felicity Huffman and Lori Loughlin, have pleaded guilty in the “Varsity Blues” cases against consultant William “Rick” Singer. He is scheduled to be sentenced in April.
