One of Tasmania’s finest properties’ sells for record-breaking $8.533 million

A stunning estate said to be “one of Tasmania’s finest properties” has sold for a $8.533 million.

Located in the coastal locale of Howrah, close to the state’s capital of Hobart, Domi Riviere, as it’s called, is a truly staggering property.

Spread over eight separate titles and 10,400-square-metres of the most pristine waterfront real estate imaginable, this estate is the definition of one-of-a-kind, boasting several structures and unparalleled vistas of the River Derwent and Hobart City.

According to Domain’s records, which obtained the home’s new sale price, the sui generis residence last changed hands in February 1992 for $1.472 million.

This means that, in just over 30 years, 10 Howrah Point Court has gained $7.061 million in value.

The record-breaking sale also makes it the most expensive home ever sold in the waterside suburb, with data showing the postcode’s median house price sits at just $795,000 over the past 12 months.
