Developer R. Don Peebles and his wife, Katrina Peebles , sold their Coral Gables mansion for $13 million, a total that was above their original asking price.

The 15,795-square-foot mansion at 11501 Old Cutler Road was purchased by Juan P. Alduncin and Laura G. Molina Hampshire . Northern Trust Co. provided a $6.75 million mortgage to the buyers.

Jill Eber and Judy Zeder of the Jills Zeder Group at Coldwell Banker listed the home, while the buyer worked with Consuelo Stewart Shelton of Stewart Realtors. The price equated to $823 per square foot.

Peebles, the founder and CEO of New York-based Peebles Corp., purchased the home for $5.45 million. He originally listed it in 2017 for $12.9 million. After four years, it sold for a nice gain.

The home was built on the 2.87-acre site in 2003. It features 10 bedrooms, 12.5 bathrooms, a pool, a tennis/basketball court, a gym, an office, a theater, a library, a game room and two-story ceilings.

Peebles recently acquired a condo in the Bath Club, which is attached to the Miami Beach private club that he owns.

As for the buyers, Alducin and Moline Hampshire are both listed in state records as managing members of Coral Gables-based Pan American Media Group. They currently own three other residential properties in Miami-Dade County: a home at 413 Santurce Ave. in Coral Gables, a home at 4831 S.W. 82nd St. in Coral Gables, and a condo at Bayside Village on Fisher Island.
