Miami Beach ‘Sky Mansion’ Sells for $30 Million Two Months After Hitting the Market

The sale is the latest major deal at the Continuum condo project, a pair of towers overlooking the shipping channel between Miami Beach and Fisher Island. The building’s developer, Ian Bruce Eichner, said he recently sold his own penthouse there in April for $35 million, The Wall Street Journal reported .

Called the “sky mansion,” the 8,229-square-foot unit, located in the south tower of the project, consumes half a floor. The six-bedroom unit has panoramic views of the ocean, a movie theater, an office and several balconies, according to the listing. An Art-Filled Condo in Miami Beach

Listing images show the home is filled with colorful art, which includes large sculptural pieces as well as bold paintings. In the office, a sculptural art piece on the wall depicts a giant three-dimensional $500 bill, since discontinued, featuring President William McKinley. The art is not included in the sale of the apartment, according to the listing agent.

The sellers are William M. Osborne III and his wife Karen H. Bechtel, both onetime Morgan Stanley executives, Ms. Rojas said. Ms. Bechtel is currently a senior advisor to investment giant Carlyle, focused on investments in the healthcare sector, according to the company’s website.

Mr. Osborne and Ms. Bechtel purchased the apartment in 2014 for $27.5 million, Ms. Rojas said. Records show they purchased a single-family home in Coral Gables for $28.9 million in April. The couple couldn’t immediately be reached for comment.Ms. Rojas declined to comment on the identity of the buyer but noted that they were represented by Talita Pinheiro of Compass.
