Erika Jayne is trying to ditch her Pasadena mansion in a hurry as her legal troubles mount.
The gorgeous home, which sits on a 1.72-acre lot and includes four bedrooms, nine bathrooms and five fireplaces was originally listed for $13 million . Source: MEGA The price was cut down to $11.5 million in June and now has been slashed all the way to $8.9 million, reported The Sun .
As OK! previously reported , Jayne was recently slapped with an amended federal lawsuit stating that she must repay $25 million to creditors.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star is being sued by her estranged ex Tom Girardi ’s past clients in federal court. The clients are seeking to get their money back they claim went to Jayne to fund her lavish lifestyle and career.
Girardi’s former clients believe the Broadway star knew about and helped the disgraced attorney with the alleged embezzlement.
In new legal documents filed in Los Angeles last week, the trustee overseeing Girardi’s law firm claimed Jayne’s “expensive to be me” lifestyle was funded by her husband’s firm and cited “fraudulent transfer” of assets.
“Erika has direct knowledge that for at least 12 years, all of her expenses were being paid by [Girardi’s firm] as she was generating them,” the court docs read. Some of the “Pretty Mess” singer’s alleged expenses included over $14,000,000 in American Express charges, as well as payments for glam, jewelry, shoes and other “lavish expenses.” Jayne filed for divorce from Girardi in November and, within weeks, the estranged couple was in a lawsuit amid allegations they embezzled money intended for the families of the victims in the Lion Air Flight 610 plane crash that took place in 2018. Source: MEGA Edelson PC — the firm investigating Jayne — alleged their split was “a sham attempt to fraudulently protect Tom and Erika’s money ” and the estranged couple was “on the verge of financial collapse and locked in a downward spiral of mounting debts and dwindling funds.”
