Indy 500 champ sells Fort Lauderdale mansion for $6.7M

Hélio Castroneves , one of the most successful IndyCar Series racers, sold a waterfront mansion in Fort Lauderdale for $6.7 million.

James and Annie Lansing purchased the 7,134-square-foot home at 31 Pelican Drive, along a canal leading to the Intracoastal Waterway. The price equated to $939 per square foot.

Castroneves built the home on the 13,012-square-foot lot in 2019. It has seven bedrooms, 7.5 bathrooms, a pool and spa, a fitness room, a dock, a balcony, and a four-car garage.

This deal comes after Castroneves sold another Fort Lauderdale home in December 2020.

A native of Brazil, Castroneves won the Indianapolis 500 in 2001, 2002, 2009 and 2021. He was a runner-up in the IndyCar Series championship four times. He won the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship in 2020.

Castroneves also competed on “Dancing with the Stars,” winning the fifth season of the popular TV show.

Jeff Greenberg of Coast Properties of South Florida, who represented the seller in the deal, declined comment. The buyer worked with Joshua Dotoli of Compass.
