Inside Staffordshire millionaire’s mansion and Britain’s most expensive home at £250m

Inside a Staffordshire millionaire’s mansion has been revealed by a new jaw dropping documentary.

Channel 4’s Britain’s Most Expensive Home: Building for a Billionaire took us around John Caudwell’s mega mansion.

The Staffordshire tycoon’s expensive home , situated in Mayfair, costs a cool £250 million.

Mr Caudwell founded Phones4U and spent £65 million renovating the property.

The plush pad is situated in one of the world’s most exclusive postcodes.

Mr Caudwell, who is a dad of six, sold off the phone firm back in 2006 for under £1.5 billion.

He told cameras: “It was incredibly ostentatious but it had some phenomenal features so I bought it. I was only looking for a little pad in London!

“The value in my house is the house itself, but I don’t keep any valuables. You can’t steal a marble staircase.”

There is a basement nightclub with a mirrored dancefloor, five kitchens, a 120-capacity ballroom and pieces of art that cost more than £300,000, as well as 15 bedrooms and eight floors, spanning 43,000 sq feet.

There is even a £500,000 car stacking device that can take eight cars from street level to storage at the press of a button, plus an indoor pool with a volcanic lava installation.
