Pleasanton mansion with its own airport runway can be yours for $4.9 million

Famed architect Victor Hugo Salas Sr. is selling his Pleasanton mansion for $4.9 million. Famed architect Victor Hugo Salas Sr ., who is known for his custom-made wood and iron constructions and precision millwork, is selling his Pleasanton mansion for $4.9 million.

Built in 2005, the 6,243-square-foot estate sits on 147 acres in the city of Pleasanton, just south of San Antonio.

The property is so massive that it has its own runway for an airplane, according to the listing on the San Antonio Board of Realtors website.

Placed on the market last month, the nine-bedroom, nine-bathroom estate features a 14,000 barndominium complete with additional bedrooms, bathrooms and a large conference area.

There is also an outdoor full-length basketball court, pool and two outside gazebos with built-in fireplaces.

With his two sons, Victor Jr. and George, and a small corps of skilled carpenters, Salas runs Architectural Interiors. A fifth-generation artisan, Salas’ work has been included in the Latino Design Archive of the Smithsonian’s National Design Museum.
