Physician executive sells Manalapan mansion for $32.25M

Dr. William J. Gueck , a principal of SurgCenter Development, and his wife, Mary Deann Gueck , sold a Manalapan mansion that stretches from the Atlantic Ocean to the Intracoastal Waterway for $32.25 million.

The 7,540-square-foot home at 860 S. Ocean Blvd. was purchased by 860 S Ocean LLC, managed by West Palm Beach-based attorney Maura Ziska on behalf of a client. New York-based USC 860 S Ocean LLC provided a $18 million mortgage to the buyer. Gary Pohrer of Douglas Elliman brokered the deal. The price equated to $4,277 a square foot.

The home last traded for $13.76 million in 2015, so it gained 134% in value. That’s a reflection of the strong demand for oceanfront homes in Palm Beach County as more wealthy people move to the area.

Built on the 1.62-acre site in 2004, the home features six bedrooms, 8.5 bathrooms, a billiard room, a tennis court, a pool, a dock, a putting green, and multiple fountains.

Gueck practiced emergency medicine in St. Louis for over 20 years and started building surgical centers in 2002. He became a partner in Townson, Maryland-based SurgCenter Development in 2006. The company has built more than 200 ambulatory surgery centers.
