Machine Gun Kelly Buys Logan Paul’s Sprawling Los Angeles Mansion

After several months on the market, Logan Paul finally sold his big Encino mansion last week. The nearly 9,000-square-foot structure went for $7.5 million, a nice jump over the $6.6 million the veteran YouTuber and podcaster paid for the place in late 2017, but significantly less than the $9 million he originally wanted .

Records now reveal that the new owner is a friend of Paul’s — Houston-born Colson Baker, the rapper-turned-pop-punk musician far better known to fans as Machine Gun Kelly . And it’s probably no surprise that MGK, 32, would be in the market for a big new house; the tabloid-friendly star is reportedly newly engaged to longtime girlfriend Megan Fox.

Despite the $7.5 million sale price, it’s not clear if Paul walked with any sort of profit. Shortly after he acquired the estate, the Ohio native gave the interiors a very custom remodel, which he later showed off on his YouTube channel. He also installed new perimeter fencing and a high-tech security system after several trespassers and stalkers somehow managed to gain access to the house. Because of that, Paul also employed full-time security guards stationed outside the property 24/7 — a not-insignificant expense.

Curiously, photos included with the current listing show the home as it appeared in 2017, before Paul’s extensive renovations. But the essential features remain intact; there are still seven bedrooms, seven full bathrooms and eight powder rooms, plus a family room with a custom wet bar and a kitchen with marble countertops and top-of-the-line appliances.

Robert Byrd originally designed the house in the 1970s, though the place has been overhauled and expanded beyond all recognition since then. Today, the gunmetal-gray house sits on a tree-shaded lot that spans nearly one flat acre, in one of Encino’s poshest neighborhood pockets. During his ownership, Paul’s favorite amenity was the lush backyard, which hosts an oversized pool and expansive grounds that include a sprawling patio, big grassy lawn, and a one-bedroom, one-bath detached guesthouse. There’s also what the listing describes as “an amazing outdoor grotto kitchen.”

Kelly, who has previously appeared on Paul’s long-running “Impaulsive” podcast, doesn’t appear to own any other L.A.-area real estate. For much of last year, he and Fox were shacked up in a $30,000/month rental mansion in Sherman Oaks, though the couple moved out after several disturbing “ ghost encounters ” at the property, including with one particularly creepy ghost who enjoyed watching Kelly receive massages from a visiting masseuse.

As for Paul, he’s moved to Puerto Rico’s Dorado Beach, where last year he began renting a $13 million home at the posh Ritz-Carlton Reserve. But the 27-year-old still owns a stunning 80-acre ranch in California’s San Jacinto Mountains, about three hours by car from Encino.
