Construction of Jennifer Jake’s $30m mansion begins

Construction of Jennifer Hawkins and husband Jake Wall’s new Whale Beach mega-mansion has officially begun.

Aerial photos of the building site taken on Friday shows the grand scale of the home, which will be worth $30million upon completion.

The property, which the couple have already reportedly sold to an undisclosed buyer, appears at least three times bigger than its neighbours, with its size reminiscent of Chris Hemsworth ‘s Westfield-inspired mansion in Byron Bay .

A newly-laid dirt foundation currently covers construction site, which takes up a double block and sits on a hill over looking the beach.

Building materials and excavator trucks are dotted around the large site, while scaffolding covers the front perimeter.

A concrete area located at the front of the property appears to be the foundation of an infinity pool or a basketball court.

Jennifer and her builder husband Jake have reportedly already sold the unfinished property to a mystery buyer.

In February, photos posted to Instagram by Jennifer and Jake’s construction company J Group Project offered a glimpse at the finished home with artist’s impressions.

The three-storey Hamptons style home is set to feature a stunning outdoor area with a large infinity pool, a half-sized basketball court and a four-car garage.

There will also be an indoor elevator between all three floors, five bedrooms, multiple living areas and a spacious kitchen.

The block, once owned by the late Joan Sutherland, was purchased by Jennifer and Jake in 2020 for $6.95 million.

The couple have since demolished the existing 1950s house in preparation for the new build.

According to a report by realestate.com.au in April last year, they were granted approval to build a $30million home on the site. The pair previously owned a home in Sydney’s Newport, which they sold for an eye-watering $24.5million in 2020.Jennifer, a former Miss Universe, and Jake married in 2013 and share daughter Frankie, three, and son Hendrix, one.
