Former Vikings Head Coach Mike Zimmer Selling $2M Minnesota Mansion

Mike Zimmer , the former Minnesota Vikings head coach, has tossed his home in Inver Grove Heights, MN , onto the market. It’s available for $1,995,000.

The long-time Vikes coach was fired in January, after missing the playoffs for two years straight.

Zimmer purchased the almost 9,000-square-foot abode in mid-2018, for $1.65 million.

Built in 2005, the large residence serves up a newly remodeled gourmet kitchen that features a coffee bar, wine bar, and walk-in pantry. The adjoining family room offers a cozy, stone-surround gas fireplace and walls of windows. Other amenities in the five-bedroom, seven-bathroom home include two offices, a sunroom with heated floors, and a primary suite with two walk-in closets and a spalike bath.

The lower level has a family room with a wet bar, two guest suites, and a sport court. Set on just over 6 acres, the surrounding land includes nature and pond views, a tree-lined driveway, and a four-car, heated garage.

The next owner will also enjoy easy access to the airport, the Vikings training facility, and downtown St. Paul , which is minutes away.

Zimmer, 65, now free of obligations in the frigid climes of Minnesota, is rumored to be looking for another coaching job . Offseason strategy

In the meantime, Zimmer may be headed for his offseason escape in Northern Kentucky.

He reportedly had the $1.5 million cabin constructed to his specifications in 2018, as a hunting lodge.

The massive, 8,000 square-foot retreat sits on 170 acres and overlooks a lake. The layout is purported to include an 18-foot fireplace, a hunting equipment room, and soaring ceilings with exposed beams.

Zimmer held the head coaching position with the Vikings from 2014 to 2021. Before landing that gig, he served as defensive coordinator for the Cincinnati Bengals , Atlanta Falcons , and Dallas Cowboys , who won the Super Bowl during his tenure as an assistant with the team.

Jeffrey Dewing with Coldwell Banker Realty holds the listing.
