Pop icon Katy Perry has decided to call time on her opulent LA mansion , putting the abode on the market for $US19.5 million.
Located in the celebrity-centric locale of Beverly Hills Post Office , the gorgeous five-bedroom, five-and-a-half-bathroom residence sits on a substantial and highly desirable 4694-square-metre block. Accessible via a lengthy, stone-paved driveway shrouded by luscious green hedges and manicured gardens, the French-style villa boasts a restrained, elegant and contemporary appearance from its exterior.
Of particular note is the vine-covered facade at the front of the structure, which is contrasted nicely by the home’s off-white paint scheme.
Being owned by someone as iconic as the platinum-selling , Grammy-nominated singer , the house’s interior is just as fabulous as the exterior. Features include a professional kitchen, sizeable home gym, chic dining room with avant-garde light fixtures and a whopping master suite. Out back, the lavish property benefits from a raft of luxuries, including a large pool and lounge area, established gardens and trees and even an adorable treehouse.
The American Idol host reportedly purchased the property back in 2017, paying nearly $US18 million at the time. That means that if the 37-year-old can sell the home for her asking price, she’ll make a tidy profit of roughly $US1.5 million. Pleasant though the dividend would be, though, Perry, who is estimated to be worth $US330 million, probably wouldn’t be too fussed if her gorgeous home sells for a bit less.
And don’t worry about the ‘I Kissed a Girl’ singer needing a place to stay if she does indeed find a buyer because, between herself and fiancé Orlando Bloom , the pair have quite the property portfolio.
Notably, the family, who welcomed their daughter Daisy Dove Bloom into the world in 2020, bought a sizeable nine-bedroom mansion in the positively royal Californian coastal town of Montecito that same year, shelling out roughly $US14.2 million.
