An 18th-century mansion in North Yorkshire has been featured on the Channel 5 TV show Posh Sleepover, in which actress Sally Lindsay visits luxury homes and gets a taste of the owner’s lifestyle.
Kirkby Fleetham Hall, a Grade-II listed Georgian manor house close to Northallerton , has been showcased on season two of the programme by Sally, who is well-known for starring in Coronation Street.
The £4m property, set over four floors, has nine en-suite bedrooms and 20 acres of land including gardens, a wood and a lake, GazetteLive reports.
According to the show, Kirkby Fleetham Hall is 20 times the size of a normal Yorkshire house.
The owner of the huge stately home is Karen Stephenson, a self-made millionaire that made her fortune as a property developer from the age of 19. She has restored Kirkby Fleetham Hall to its former glory and filled it with antiques and art.
The county home was built by Ripon MP – and son of disgraced Chancellor of the Exchequer John Aislabie – William Aislabie for his daughter Ann Sophie.
It has also been a hotel and is listed on its website as a venue for weddings and other functions.
The ornate home was previously up for sale in November last year for £3.75m and has now been taken off the market.
