Off Lease Only owners sell Fort Lauderdale mansion for $23M

A trust in the name of Mark J. Fischer and Eileen C. Fischer , the founders and owners of auto dealership chain Off Lease Only, sold a mansion along the Intracoastal Waterway in Fort Lauderdale for $23.25 million.

The 12,426-square-foot home at 534 Bontona Ave. was purchased by the 534 Bontona Avenue Land Trust, with BNY Mellon as trustee. BNY Mellon also provided a $16.98 million mortgage to the buyer. Chad Gray of the Luxury Living Fort Lauderdale Group at Compass represented the seller in the deal, while Tim Elmes of Compass worked with the buyer. The price equated to $1,871 a square foot.

The home last sold for $15.5 million in 2019, so it gained in value amid the flurry of luxury home sales in Fort Lauderdale over the past year.

Built on the 39,997-square-foot site in 2014, the home features eight bedrooms, nine bathrooms, seven half-bathrooms, a library, an art studio, a pool, a dock, a putting green, an office, an elevator, a massage room, and a second kitchen in the guest house. It’s called Casa Bella Fortuna.

The Fischers founded Off Lease Only in Long Island in 1992. The business relocated to South Florida in 1997. It has three locations in South Florida.
