Ashley Black , a self-described health-and-fitness guru and the inventor of the FasciaBlaster myofascial therapy tool, has put her Friendswood mansion on the market with an initial asking price of $4.95 million.
The 12,954-square-foot home at 405 W. Spreading Oaks Ave. sits on 9.73 acres and has six bedrooms, five full bathrooms and two half-bathrooms. The home is about 23 miles south of downtown Houston.
The home’s interior includes a poker room outfitted with a separate ventilation system to filter out cigar smoke, as well as a gym and meditation studio. Residents can also relax in the separate steam room and sauna.
Vaulted ceilings and wooden beams run throughout the home, and the primary suite features additional security via a keypad lock and bulletproof door.
The property features a large resort-style pool, a 24-seat hot tub and private tennis courts. The home also has three separate garages capable of housing up to 12 vehicles.
“This is how life is supposed to be lived,” said Nancy Almodovar , CEO of Nan and Company Properties Christie’s International Real Estate, who is handling the listing. “This is truly a private escape with all the amenities of a luxury resort. The grounds are a playground for your imagination with endless possibilities from adding horse stables to building your own helipad. You can have it all within minutes of Hobby Airport’s private terminals and downtown Houston.”
The home was built in 2006 and was once owned by former Houston mayoral candidate Tony Buzbee .
Black has garnered a reputation for her work in promoting beauty treatments. Her FasiaBlaster massage tool, which has been featured on “Keeping Up With the Kardashians,” claims to treat fascia and cellulite by temporarily increasing blood flow to affected areas. She has also authored guides to treating cellulite.
