Gisele Bündchen reportedly bought an $11.5 million mansion directly across the waterway from Tom Brady ‘s home weeks before the couple finalized their divorce.
Bündchen closed on the five-bedroom, 6,600-square-foot Miami Beach mansion on October 6, Page Six reported.
The mansion appears to be almost directly across the waterway from her now ex-husband Brady’s home, which is under construction on Indian Creek Island.
Bündchen first viewed the mansion on August 16, just days before the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback took an 11-day break from playing in the NFL, a source told Page Six. The break was a last attempt to save the relationship, it was reported.
But on October 28, the couple finalized their divorce, ending the 13-year marriage.
‘Gisele was actively looking at homes in Miami Beach even before Tom took his break from the NFL, which indicates that she was already done with the marriage and moving on,’ the source revealed.
Bündchen’s reported new digs are in Surfside while Brady’s mansion is on the waterfront of Biscayne Bay.
‘You could literally swim from Gisele’s place to Tom’s — not that they would — but both homes will include a dock, so it would be very easy for them to co-parent their children while living so close to each other,’ the source added.
The property listing boasts soaring 25-foot ceilings, a large outdoor pool, a home theater, gym, several terraces and views of the waterway and Indian Creek Island.
The two had aimed to build a forever home in Miami’s Indian Creek Country Club community for themselves and their children.
The total cost of the house is set to be near $30 million, as they paid $17 million for the land and an additional $10.12 million in construction costs for the custom mansion, according to the Post.
The area is dubbed ‘Billionaire’s Bunker’ because of the sheer number of celebrities and high-rollers in the vicinity, including Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner.
But the mansion seems to be tailor-made for the two, and includes an organic garden, a pickleball court, yoga terrace, a prep kitchen, main kitchen and outdoor kitchen. The 1.8-acre property encompasses three buildings – a main house, a security post and a gym. It also ironically includes his-and-hers bathroom suites, which may never get to be used by both. Floor plans of the home obtained by the Post shows that it spans an enormous 17,000 square feet, and includes five bedrooms and 11 bathrooms, along with an elevator, a movie theatre and a guest suite. But after TMZ reported the relationship has been on the rocks for a while, and then their divorce was finalized in October, it’s unclear if Brady will take ownership of the property or if it will be sold off altogether.
