A trust led by a businesswoman from Toronto who is married to a venture capitalist purchased a recently completed mansion in Palm Beach for $26.75 million.
Adrian Tauro , a banker from Toronto, sold the 6,621-square-foot home at 95 Middle Road to the GCT Residence 2021 Trust, with Marisa Klass as trustee.
Klass started a jewelry company named after her in Toronto. Her husband is Daniel Klass , the head of Klass Capital Corp., which invests mainly in technology companies. He was instrumental in the IPO of Toronto-based AI learning company Docebo in 2019.
This continues the surge in wealthy people from North America who have been buying homes in Palm Beachover the past 18 months, pushing up home values.
Suzanne Trapani-Frisbie of Corcoran Group represented the sellers in the deal, which equated to $4,054 per square foot. The buyer worked with Christian Angle of Christian Angle Real Estate.
Trapini-Frisbie said the seller originally intended to live in the home but later decided to sell it. It was designed with French contemporary architect by Portuondo Perotti Architects in Miami, with landscape architecture by Nievera Williams Landscape Architecture in Palm Beach.
She said the location of the home was a huge plus, only two blocks from Worth Avenue and a short walk to the beach.
“This is about as lovely a property as one could find,” Trapini-Frisbie said.
Situated on a half-acre site, the home has four bedrooms, 5.5 bathrooms, a pool, a summer kitchen, and a catering kitchen.
